Whether it’s the Plan To End Homelessness or providing needs assistance for the handicapped and mentally disabled, Penny’s efforts to assist the less fortunate is a matter of record. The safety net of services provided by the County is impressive, but it still requires the cooperation of non-profit groups, volunteers and caring neighbors.

Penny works to coordinate the resources of our community to bring necessary assistance to those in need. Sometimes it is as basic as providing some needed home repair for senior citizens who are no longer physically or financially able to do the work themselves. And sometimes it requires a more sustained effort to help people with psychiatric problems or addictions.

But by being aware of the various sources of resources and how they might be applied, Penny is able to muster the combined, greater energy of our community to find ways to help people in need. Her commitment goes beyond those that are doing fine, and extends to all Mason residents, even those in need. That’s what makes Mason a community of hope and Penny will continue that tradition of hope for all.
